James Loveday, the architect behind the long running Distortion Project, has been at the forefront of promotion and live rock and metal events in Northern Ireland for the past 2 decades. As a promoter James has brought exceptional live gigs across Belfast and beyond featuring the best local, national and international talent.
Originally formed in 2004, after a period of dormancy, Distortion Project Records has been resurrected in 2021! Their aim is to support local metal artists on their roster, through both touring management and music production.
Alongside label brothers Skypilot and Lock Horns, Bakken will release release their next full length record with DP Records in partnership with renowned recording studio, Start Together. This opportunity has been funded by Gary Lightbody and Davy Matchett at Third Bar Artist Development.
